Disney in December

My husband recently returned from Walt Disney World.  We were there from December 1 through the 9th.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs Resort for 4 nights and at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights.

I was a bit worried as to what we should pack, so I packed some “cold weather” clothes as well as “warm weather” clothes.

As it turns out, the weather was perfect the whole time! We didn’t wear any of the warm weather clothes.

While we were there we took the Keys to the Kingdom tour, attended the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party and saw The Osborne Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios, AND we were there for the grand opening of the New Fantasyland!

The crowds were not very bad for the beginning part of our trip, but the latter half started to get really crowded.  All in all, I would definitely recommend visiting in early December if you can do it. I know a lot of kids are still in school, but if you’re lucky enough to get the great weather that we did it will definitely be worth it!

Erica M My name is Erica. I currently live in Baltimore, MD with my husband and our 2 fur babies.  I’ve been a Disney fan for a long time. My first trip to Walt Disney World was in 1994, but my “obsession” began a little later in my life- my husband and I made a couple of trips on our own starting in 2008 and we became DVC owners in 2010.  For me, part of the fun of our trips is the planning that I do that leads up to the trip itself – I’m not happy unless I’ve got a Disney trip in the planning stages – even if I’m helping do the planning for someone else!  I look forward to experiencing a Disney cruise and making a trip to Disneyland within the next few years, but for now I will anxiously await the day that we fly to Orlando for our upcoming trip in December.  You can also check out my Thrity-One Gifts page here
